Due to its vitamin D content, it contributes to the normal absorption and utilization of calcium and phosphorus; to the maintenance of normal blood calcium levels; to the maintenance of normal bones; to normal muscle function; and to the process of cell division.
Due to its pantothenic acid content, it contributes to the normal synthesis and metabolism of steroid hormones, vitamin D and some neurotransmitters.
